Charlotte FC are edging towards their MLS debut as the side look to show the rest of the league exactly what they are made of. And we are starting to get a picture of what that might look like.

As if the excitement for the inception of the side wasn’t enough, the brand new kits have recently unveiled a fresh, mint green kit. The second kit, made by Adidas, is seen by many as helping to emphasis the fresh start that Charlotte FC will be making in the MLS.

The kit itself provides a very attractive alternative to the Charlotte FC first kit, with the side set to play their first game on February 26th against D.C United. Their opening home game will then be played at the Bank of America Stadium on March 5th against LA Galaxy.

The kit itself was made available for purchase as of February 15th at the team’s website.

Charlotte FC will be hoping their marquee players will all turn out in their mint green iteration of the kit at some point across the season, with the newly incepted side desperate to ensure that their start to life in the MLS is a fresh one.

The likes of Vinicius Mello, Sergio Ruiz and Anton Walkes will all turn out for Charlotte, with the players likely to don the mint green shirt during their opening games.

Charlotte FC are outsiders to win silverware in their debut season with bookmakers and punters using free spins with Gala Spins giving only slim hopes.

They will face firm opposition in the form of Seattle Sounders, New England Revolution and Los Angeles FC across their maiden campaign, and it will be a good test of the side as it will help set a benchmark of where they are in comparison to their opponents.

Charlotte FC will have to be in exceptional form in order to knock any of the top sides off of their perch, with New England Revolution winning the Eastern Conference last year by some distance with a 19-point lead over second-place, while Colorado Rapids won the Western Conference.

Despite their dominance, it was actually New York City FC, who came eighth overall in the regular season, that won the MLS title after triumphing across the playoff stages before defeating Portland Timbers 4-2 on penalties in the final following a 1-1 draw.

New York City FC’s win last year shows that if a side can make it out of the regular season and into the playoffs, then just about anything can happen due to the nature of knockout soccer.

With this in mind, Charlotte FC will hope that their brand-new fresh mint kit will help to ensure that they are still battling for silverware later in the year, although just getting a cluster of wins and swelling the fans excitement for soccer will surely go down as the main objective for the newly incepted side in their debut season in the MLS.
