Amongst the various cities and vacation spots within the Australian boundary, there is another great place to visit just outside the country. Known as Uluru or Ayers Rock, it is a huge sandstone monolith that is located right in the heart of the Red Center, which is at the heart of the Northern Territory. The closest city being Alice Springs, Uluru happens to be one of the most recognizable natural landmarks of Australia. Barely 348m high and rising to around 863m above sea level, Uluru has been able to attract tourists from different parts of the globe every year.
